Has any one got a plaster?

Reporter Angela Vidal and her cameraman Pablo are covering the night-shift at a local fire station for a TV reality show called ‘While Your Sleeping’. When the firemen receive a distress call from a lady in a building, the news hound and her camera man accompany the firemen to an apartment building under siege by the police, they find the tenants gathered in the entrance hall and they hear screams upstairs. Checking this out they find an aggressive old lady who attacks one of the policeman. When they return to the lobby, they find that they are sealed in the building with no way out; the story takes a bizarre and dark turn when strange things begin to happen.

Filmed to look like the TV documentary that Angela and her unseen cameraman are making, REC (2007) has lots shaky-cam camera work similar to J J Abram’s Cloverfield (2008) some of which gets on your nerves. This Spanish horror film is co-directed by Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza. This one dimensional movie does have some genuinely scary moments but over all its a little disappointing. Remade in America as Quarantine (2008) for some obscure reason.
